About me
Oscar Veliz is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University - Seattle campus and he earned his PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at El Paso. His dissertation was in Artificial Intelligence focused on game theoretic models of reasoning under uncertainty in large games and he received the Google CAHSI Dissertation Award. Oscar was a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University before joining Northeastern. He has worked for ExxonMobil, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft; and is also a longtime high school CS educator with the Microsoft TEALS Program.
