About me
Sabra Schneider, named one of the top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers in 2024 from Government Technology Magazine, currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Bellevue, Washington. Bellevue consistently ranks in the top five digital cities in the country.
Sabra has spent more than 20 years in government roles, often at the intersection of technology, innovation, communications, and transparency. She is passionate about using civic technology to drive effective government and connect communities.
Prior to her role in Bellevue, she led Digital Communications for the City of Seattle and web, social media, digital communications and open data efforts for King County, Washington. Before that, Sabra earned tenure at South Seattle College, where she developed and led the web design and development program and taught classes in computing, communications, and art. Sabra also occasionally teaches at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington.
Sabra has a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
