About me
Ram Hariharan is Program Director, Senior Scientist, and Data Science Faculty at Northeastern University’s College of Engineering in Seattle. He is also a Visiting Scientist at California’s renowned Buck Institute for Aging Research.
Ram’s research uses data science and artificial intelligence to decode biological aging at the cellular level. Previously, he led applied machine learning at Macro-Eyes, Inc. (now Pendulum Systems, Inc.), managing a global team of data scientists addressing global health issues. He has held research positions at prestigious institutions including Fred Hutch, Institute for Systems Biology, University of Washington, RIKEN in Japan, and was a British Council Scholar at the University of Oxford.
In the past, Ram has shared insights through storytelling, contributing to "The Hindu," India's second-largest English-language newspaper, and appearing on TV several times in both the US and in India.
Originally from Kerala, India, Ram earned his PhD in computational biology. Beyond his work, he enjoys Chuck Lorre sitcoms, dining out, and hiking with his family.
